Wir waren von der Firma zu 8 fürs Mittagsessen. Das Restaurant wird von einem netten Pärchen geführt - der Mann kocht und die Frau serviert mit Freude und ist sehr nett. Das Mittagsmenü beinhaltet: Salat UND Suppe (bei den meisten anderen Restis muss man entweder Salat oder Suppe wählen), danach Hauptgang und Kuchenstück alles im Mittagspreis inbegriffen (je nach Menü 19-26.-). Es gibt 3-4 versch. Menüs und alle sind fein. Für das Essen und die Bedienung ist der Preis unschlagbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Vielen Dank.

Haben heute zum Valentinstag im dem Restaurant gegessen. Hatten Eglifilet und Ramschnitzel.Essen top.Bedienung sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Gehen sicher wieder hin. Carla &Silvan

Ich war nun zum zweiten Mal in diesem Lokal. Immer wieder ein Highlight. Jacky und Bea sind einfach total nett und authentisch. Hier ist der Gast wirklich König. Das Chateaubriand ist umwerfend. Einfach mal ausprobieren

Es war ein Abend im Dezember, es war bereits dunkel und wir wollten unterwegs eine Pause einlegen. Wir entdeckten eine Art Bahnhofsbuffet, wie es vor 50 Jahren noch viele gab. Es wird von einem leidenschaftlichen Ehepaar geführt, das sich weigert, in Rente zu gehen, und weiterhin ausgezeichnete traditionelle Hausmannskost serviert. Der Empfang ist herzlich. Was will man mehr?

It was remarkable!!!! If you're in Basel it's worth traveling there just to sit in the restaurant! It is owned by a lovely couple and it's a family business running for 30 years!!! The pasta was fantastic and we ate the best banana bread in the world there!! Do yourself a favor and visit! I'm so grateful I have found this place by accident after a long hike!

So wie es einmal war und immer noch ist. Gastfreundlichkeit, Qualität und Speisen mit Herz. Das ist hier nicht nur eine Floskel, nein das wird noch gelebt und erinnert mich an die gute alte Zeit, als der Gast noch König war und das Essen nach Tradition zubereitet wurde. Hier gilt Genuss. Danke, dass es das noch gibt. Weltklasse .

Einfach, aber gut, sehr gut, gerne wieder. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Ich durfte völlig unkompliziert den Wurstsalat mit Pommes des Tagesmenüs zu einem garnierten Wurstsalat ohne Pommes umwandeln, und die reichliche Garnitur an frischen Salaten war sehr schmackhaft und lecker. 5 Sterne *****
